Hello Portland

Hello Portland Cycling and Business Community. Today we have launched this blog to help build an effort that started last fall called Business on a Bike. This is a very simple concept in that we would like to bring like minded people together to have fun while networking.

Business on a Bike is a weekly ride based out of downtown Portland with the intention of bringing business people together to go for a roughly hour and a half ride and hopefully build relationships with each ride. We will post the ride here on this site each Tuesday with a feature of one of the riders that has attended the ride. So not only do you get to meet great people on the ride but you may be featured for everyone in the world to see. I have been attending the rides for the past few months and I can't think of a better way to help build my business.

If you stumbled across this you most likely have these two things in common. One a love for getting out on the road on your bike. Two a need to grow your business or your book of business. This group addresses those needs and not in the standard way that you are familiar with. We don't have coffee and pastries and force you to stand in a circle and give an elevator pitch. No we let you build the relationships as you head out on a ride that you would most likely do in your free time. The rides are all at conversation pace and not meant to show how fast you are, nobody is dropped on these rides. It's a Win Win for everyone.

We hope to see you on a ride soon and please come back to see the schedules for the ride as well as support the individuals featured each week. Please post comments to give us suggestions as we build this group.
